Language week in school "Milija Nikčević"

All 12 language teachers at our school — four Montenegrin-Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian Language teachers, five English Language teachers, one Italian Language teacher, one Russian Language teacher, and one German Language teacher — with the support of the school management, are organizing a rich program of activities to celebrate the European Day of Languages. 399 students (out of 704) will take part in diverse activities held during classes, workshops, and extracurricular sessions. The program includes: • Watching and recording videos • Exploring sign language • Language quizzes • Creating presentations and posters • Discussions and group work • Learning new vocabulary in different languages • Discovering birthday traditions around the world • Practicing greetings in multiple languages By creating messages in different languages, students will demonstrate how knowledge of languages builds bridges of understanding, tolerance, and friendship among people. With the guidance of their teachers, these messages will be brought together in a collective video project. Using digital tools, students will express creativity, critical thinking, and awareness of the importance of cultural and linguistic diversity.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
