L’Istituto Superiore “Secusio” celebra la Giornata delle Lingue con un ricco programma di attività pensate per valorizzare l’importanza dello studio delle lingue straniere come strumento di crescita personale, apertura culturale e dialogo internazionale. La giornata si aprirà con alcuni momenti musicali in inglese, francese, spagnolo e tedesco, che metteranno in risalto la forza della musica come linguaggio universale. Tra le iniziative in programma, un momento teatrale dal titolo “1948 – Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani: diritti proclamati, vite spezzate”, portato in scena dagli studenti nelle quattro lingue studiate, affiancate dall’italiano, per ribadire il valore della comprensione reciproca e dei diritti fondamentali e far emergere le contraddizioni della società contemporanea. Gli studenti parteciperanno poi a un test ludico-didattico, pensato per stimolare in modo divertente e interattivo la conoscenza delle lingue e delle culture straniere. La mattinata sarà arricchita da brevi interventi sull’importanza delle lingue, con testimonianze di ex alunni, presentazioni legate al festival di teatro in lingua francese, ai corsi di certificazione linguistica, ai viaggi studio e ai progetti di gemellaggio. Un momento speciale sarà dedicato alla premiazione degli studenti che hanno conseguito la certificazione linguistica Cambridge, riconoscimento del loro impegno e del loro successo nello studio della lingua inglese. Infine, verrà presentato il bando di concorso di scrittura in lingua straniera dal titolo “Ctrl+Umano: Humans, Humains, Humanos, Menschen... REACT!”, che offrirà agli studenti l’occasione di esprimersi creativamente e confrontarsi su una tematica di grande attualità. Una giornata per vivere le lingue, condividerne la ricchezza e scoprire nuove prospettive di crescita e di futuro. * * * * * * * Secusio High School celebrates the Day of Languages with a rich program of activities planned to underline the importance of studying foreign languages as a tool for personal growth, cultural openness, and international dialogue. The day will begin with musical performances in English, French, Spanish, and German, highlighting the power of music as a universal language. Among the scheduled initiatives is a theatrical performance entitled "1948 – Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Rights Proclaimed, Lives Broken", performed by students in the four languages studied, along with Italian, to reaffirm the value of mutual understanding and fundamental rights and stress the contradictions of contemporary society. Students will then participate in a fun and interactive educational test designed to stimulate their knowledge of foreign languages and cultures. The morning will be enriched by short presentations on the importance of languages, with testimonials from former students, and presentations related to the French-language theatre festival, language certification courses, study trips, and twinning projects. A special moment will be dedicated to the award ceremony for students who have achieved the Cambridge English Language Certificate, in recognition of their commitment and success in learning English. Finally, the announcement of the foreign language writing competition, titled "Ctrl+Umano: Humans, Humains, Humanos, Menschen... REACT!", will be presented. This will offer students the opportunity to express themselves creatively and discuss a highly topical issue. A day to experience languages, share their richness, and discover new perspectives for growth and the future.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.
