We are organizing the celebration of the European Day of Languages for our pupils and students! This event will feature a variety of activities for all age groups, highlighting the importance of linguistic diversity. Planned Activities Our children will engage in a range of fun and educational activities throughout the day. They will: • Showcase their creativity by creating posters, stories, poems, and personalized language passports and lapbooks. • Explore new concepts by using different fonts to write their names and by creating and solving cryptograms to reveal secret messages. • Have fun with friends as they prepare and play language board games and memory cards. • Discover new sounds by listening to a variety of European languages and watching a video about International Sign Language. • Celebrate together by trying to sing a song.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
