European Day of Languages with a focus on the French language

 Language classes, 25 sen 2025 - 26 sen 2025, Drenje, Croatia

Students will mark the European Day of Languages with a special focus on French through a variety of engaging activities. They will complete motivational tasks, research and present interesting facts about the French language, and identify its main features, such as its wide use, status as an official EU language, and basic greetings or expressions. A strong emphasis will be placed on recognizing and appreciating Europe’s linguistic and cultural diversity. Students will also make connections between French and Croatian by exploring loanwords such as “butik” (boutique), “parfem” (perfume), “frizura” (hairstyle), and “kroasan” (croissant). Finally, they will practice pronouncing simple French expressions and take part in a tongue-twister challenge in French, further enriching their language experience.
