“Keys to become a translator and interpreter in the EU”

To mark the European Day of Languages, we are organising an event where you can discover the keys and the path to follow to pursue a professional career in the EU and learn about success stories in the European institutions in the field of translation and interpreting. To this end, we will be joined by renowned professionals: Leire Segura, translator at the European Commission's DG TRAD; Marina Pascual, head of unit and interpreter at the Court of Justice of the EU; Hanan Saleh, lecturer in the Department of Philology and Translation at the University Pablo de Olavide. In person event, Registration is required.

It can be challenging to organise events that are fun, inclusive, have an educational element and motivate a large number of people. Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.
