Mural multilingue/ Multilingual mural/ Mur multilingue

Exposition, 26 ira. 2025, Porto, Portugal

Our school group is proud to welcome, guide and include students from 32 different nationalities. In line with the motto of the event's 25th anniversary, ‘Languages open hearts and minds’, our students are invited to express their thoughts and emotions using different languages (native and taught), through words that mean something to them (because of their sound, meaning, association, etc.), expressions, sentences they have created themselves or even famous quotes, represented in various formats, sizes, colours and shapes, giving free rein to their creativity. This includes the languages taught by the school (Portuguese, English, French and Spanish), as well as the students' mother tongues, such as Italian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Georgian, Turkish, Arabic, Urdu, Tamazight, Hindi, Nepali, Latvian, Bengali, Vietnamese, Chinese, Hebrew and Filipino. The final product of the work developed in language classes takes the form of a multilingual mural using writing and drawing, depending on the specific skills, interests and motivations of each student. The aim is to create a joint mural, representative of the diversity of languages, cultures, thoughts, feelings, skills, profiles and learning, illustrating and celebrating our belief that we are all united in diversity!
