The European Day of Languages was joined by members of the Digital Literacy clubs at the Kherson Centre for Children's and Youth Creativity, together with club leader Roman Murzhak, a participant in the European Digital Education Hub. Online events were held on the topic: ‘20 facts about the history of languages that you may not know.’ The pupils learned about linguistic diversity in Europe, reviewed 20 facts about the world and history of languages, and 20 facts about birthday celebration traditions around the world. The event helped to emphasise the importance of learning foreign languages.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
